Subconsciousness and Consciousness

The boy on the left represents subconsciousness,
The boy choking him represents consciousness
and the shadow represence the feelings of malice,envy,anger,negativity etc. all coming from the subconscious.

No matter how much he tries, the consciousness cannot completely eliminate them from his subconsciousness.
